Surah Al Qadr is the 97th chapter of the noble Quran. The word ‘Qadr’ means fate and power. it comprises 5 verses. Each verse describes the power and authority of Allah. The complete surah was revealed in Makkah, before the migration of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his followers.

The first surah revealed of the Quran was Surah Al Qadr. The revealing of the Quran started in the Holy month of Ramadan. Then it was followed by other chapters. BENEFITS AND VIRTUES OF LAILA TUL QADR

We, Muslims, believe in the purity of Laila tul Qadr. No other night is superior to Laila tul Qadr. It is important to understand why this night is so precious.

Whoever offers prayers and worship Allah in this blessed night, Allah will listen to him. Also, the reward is equal to the worships of about 83 years. Offering Qayyam (late-night prayer) on Laila tul Qadr is very beneficial. Allah listens to His worshiper’s desire and never rejects its fulfillment. Allah accepts all prayers on this night.

BENEFITS OF RECITING SURAH AL QADR

Among numerous benefits of reciting all surahs of the Quran, Surah Al Qadr also holds some rewards for its reciter.

REWARD OF MUJAHID

One who recites Surah Al Qadr in a louder voice that everyone listens to him, his reward will be equal to a person who fights for Islam. These are called Mujahids.

REWARD OF MARTYRED

Martyrs are given special honor in Islam. A person who recites Surah Al Qadr will gain a reward equal to a martyr.

FORGIVENESS

Reciting Surah Al Qadr in daily compulsory prayers will result in the forgiveness of sins. Also, it will help on the Final Day of Judgement.

FINANCIAL STABILITY

Regular recitation of Surah Al Qadr will result in a consistent increase and stability in the wealth of a person. Poverty will not come closer to its reciter. Just recite the Surah 7 times daily before going to bed.

PROTECTION FROM ILLNESS

The Surah protects its reciter from diseases and illnesses. If you want yourself to stay healthy, make a habit of reciting Surah Al Qadr.

It is also say that if a person recites Surah Al Qadr regularly, his eyesight will enhance. It will act as an eye ointment and protect its reader from eye infections and eye diseases.

Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) once said that If a person recites Surah Al Qadr once in a day, he will be rewarded for keeping a fast for the whole day.
